I am trying very hard to justify my next year purchase of a new Dodge Ram 3500. Why is Dodge insisting on dumping fuel in the cylinders for the DPF and NOX regenerations. It appears this is causing cylinder wash out and high fuel dilution in the oil. Govt Motors is using a 9th injector in the exhaust system to take care of this problem. Seems we now have 3 different systems between GM, Ford, and Dodge. What is this a Betamax Vs VHS war to see which system is the best. What the heck is going on. To me the duramax makes the most sense. I can't believe what I am hearing and reading about these new polution systems. I really want a new Dodge, but unless they change their system I am going to have to go with the duramax. At least the fuel is being sent to the exhaust sytem and not down the cylinders. I am still reading up and trying to get more educated on this whole process. Oo.
