... rebuilt the top end of my pump yesterday. I would never have attempted that without this board and the very descriptive posts which gave me the confidence to attack it.
O-ring on the throttle arm was bad and leaking about 4 drops per second when running.
Got in there, cleaned everything up, reassembled, futzed with the power screw and idle to get a perfect idle with minimal roll on smoke. Still turning 30psi on with a lot less haze than before.
Also installed the 3200 rpm governor spring.
Total cost probably around $40. Total time around 3 therapeutic hours.
Now... how hard is the rear main seal?
