Hello,

I just got my first diesel truck: 1992 Power Ram W250 4x4 Ext. Cab.

This thing is a beast. It is in excellent shape and has very little (if any) rust, dents, or anything else. The previous owner put and auxillery fuel tank in it that holds 100 extra gallons. Also he put new bucket seats in the front and a new bench in the rear (all leather and from dodge - he works for a dodge dealership!). I have been reading through the vast information here and am finding it very useful.

Thanks everyone.

Welcome Jordan!

OK, you've been here long enough already! ;) What is going to be your first bomb?

Once you take that first step and buy a truck, you are most likely hooked! Once started on the bombs, there is no :D escape.

"..... I pity the fool who don't own a first gen... . "

Ok, can we get an "AMEN" on this one ... good on ya Scott. .

"..... I love it when a plan comes together..... "

Now THAT is a fact... good quote Travis... :D:D

Well Jordan, as you can see the inmates rule this place, but, to be fair they've been "attending Church" longer 'N you so we'll give you some time to get with the program ;);).

WELCOME TO THE GROUP... and what the guys have quoted above is straight from "the good book"...

pb... .

I have already made a list for about $10k worth of stuff I want... ... . now as for which one to get first... ... I am guessing it will be a new turbo of some kind, followed by some transmission items, and then brake upgrades.

The truck is in really good condition as far as the body goes. I am investigating some possible rust protection for the underside and maybe a paint job.

Can anyone recommend a painter near Kansas City?

Welcome aboard! These guys will definately steer you in the right direction for anuthing you want to do.

As for what to do first I think it's pretty much the concencus (sp) that the first thing to get is going to be extra guages, ie. EGT, Tach, and Boost Pressure for starters, and if you have a slushbox a Transmission Temperature guage, especially if your going to tow.
