Attention: TDR Forum Junkies The A/C on my wife's '98 5. 0 V8 Explorer isn't working - air is only a few degrees cooler than ambient. I bought one of the recharge kits with a low side pressure gauge and checked the pressure. Pressure fluctuates between 25-45psi every 2-3 seconds. I have not checked the high side because I don't have access to gauges.
Is the low side fluctuation because the system is low on R134? I haven't tried adding any R134 yet.
