Hi I figured out my a/c compressor need replacing and I got the parts to replace it( compressor ,drier, o-rings, orifice)-----I have a tank to catch old freon and access to guages ------would any body want to give me a source as to directions for doing this on my 96??? I know every where i look tells me take it to a shop not a job for do it yourselfer-----OR if anything, tips at installing the parts i have and i get it charged by a shop----thanks so much!!--Ron
 
I would be happy to help you BUT... . if you have to ask how to do this particular job,you are not only not qualified to do the work... . you probably don't have the proper tools to perform this task legally,safely and above all,making the repair last a long time.





With that said... do you have or have access to a pump-down machine... . a vacuum pump and a set of gauges for 134A?I see that you say you have a recovery tank... is it approved?Do you have the means to recover refrigerant and then reclaim etc?I will be online for awhile..... I can help you if you have the proper tools.
