Is there any way to get more cold air from the A/C? It's been 120+ here in Arizona and the A/C doesn't get as cold... as fast as I would like it to.



Is there a bigger cartridge that I can install for the A/C? Would that make a difference?

I hear that! Does it do any good to have heater core shut offs like on the bigger trucks and older vehicles? But at least the monsoons are finally here! Makes a big differance!

i don't know if anyone has tried that on the dodges [i have seen people do it on the ford SD's] but i would assume it would work... the hoses are pretty accessable from under the hood to give it a try. .



maybe try running in a/c recirculation mode... ? i noticed on a few of the hot days we had a few weeks back that it really helped to cool things down quicker that way. .

adding a larger drier to the system will only mean needing a littel more refigirent to the system the compressor is balanced to the size of the evap. and condensor to increase the capcity you need to increase all of the compoents

try an add on electric fan on the condenser it has always worked for me especialy when you are not moving fast, the condesor is just a big heat exchanger like a radiator. not a believer, have someone hold a hose on the condesor while you sit in the truck with the ac on and feel how cold the are gets when the water hit it. :-laf

There are some companies that sell a high temp propane LP cocktail, but only approved for industrial use. It will roughly double the power of your AC with no increase in compressor load. But in case something goes wrong, you're on your own (fire, accident, etc)
