I will be changing my A/C clutch either today or tomorrow. I will post pictures and a how to.
I ordered the replacement clutch on-line as Mopar does not offer the clutch assembly. Neither do the aftermarket companies.
The clutch I found only works on the OEM HS-18 compressor. If your truck had the OEM compressor replaced with an aftermarket unit then this will NOT work for you.
Directions are included and seem pretty well written.

We will see.....:D

Product arrived well packed and has nice directions included...

Did not get to this, too many other projects had to be done first. Looking at Saturday morning if all goes well. Will document the good and bad with some pictures.

Mission accomplished. I have working A/C again.

After doing this on the truck I do not recommend it. At least on mine as the pitman arm brace kit is right square in the way whether trying to access the belt tensioner or get a decent swing for the compressor magnet. On the bench would be easier.

So pictures as promised.....

Compressor with belt off and bolts removed...

Swung down so I can access the clutch....

Ratchet strapped to the frame so it will sit still...

Removing the bolt, you will want a pair of these pry bars to get the pulley and magnet off.

Once the bolt is removed the outer part of the clutch slides right off of the splined compressor shaft. Easy Peasy...

You can see why the draw when engaged tripped the TIPM, pretty well used up. I will pictures of the outer section later. Saved it for a photo op...

Pulley came off easily once the snap ring was removed. Two pry bars placed against opposing case bolts worked perfectly.

Now what you are looking at is the magnet itself.

Application of the pry bars again against opposing case bolts brings the magnet off. Cut the wires and it's in your hand, the whole greasy messy thing.....wear rubber gloves as the black goo is nasty, I'm still trying to get it all off my hands two days later....

I need to add more pictures of the old stuff...
