Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) A/C clutch cycles, engine drops in rpms to almost stall??

My 96 Dodge 2wd, auto., almost stalls at idle when a/c is on, the a/c works great, but when the clutch cycles on and off it drops the rpms real low to almost stalling then the truck compensates and the rpms jump back up. I am not sure what it is, it runs great other than that. any help is appreciated thanks Ron

Is your base idle too low? Should be at least 750-800 rpms in drive with ac on.
