A/c Compressor Noise?

when i first start my truck and turn the a/c on i hear what sounds like a loud blow off of pressure. much louder than the regular clutch engagement sound. anyone else experience this sound.

my truck does the same thing... normal... do a search... numerous threads... . i will admit I question on how long the compressor will last with that noise...

I have seen other posts about low cooling or the duct/valve problems, but never seen anything on the ultra loud "clunk" that is heard and felt when my ac cycles on.



Mine has been so bad that when starting the truck with the ac already on it has made the engine stumble. A diesel with this much torque stumbling over ac clutch makes me nervous.



I took mine into dealer to address this issue and all they did was replace the fan clutch, noise still there. I understand that the fan clutches are electronically controlled and are more complicated than ever before but what gives???



Still think there is something wrong with the ac compressor. Does this sound like what yall are talking about, if so let me know if there is anything that can be done...

mine will do that if I start the truck after sitting for awhile and turn the ac on right after starting... . it does a large thug with a sneeze. . otherwise it cycles normaly and quietly

yup only if i turn it on right after i start the truck. after the initial noise i can turn it off and on with normal clutch clunk.
