2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission A/C Compressor????????

Half way to Corpus Christie my A/C Compressor clutch started sticking. Is there anything I can do other than replacing the whole compressor? Dodge wants 454. 00... . called Napa they have two different ones. Depending on the one in the truck will determine which one from napa will fit. One was 379. 00 and the other was 424. 00. Dodge has one in stock..... Napa would have to order. Any ideas... ... Should I just go to Dodge?

I just bought a new clutch for mine about a week ago. Mine was sticking and making a little too much noise. The clutch cost me $175. Just a thought...

What do you men when you say it is sticking? Is it staying engaged and causing the evaporator to freeze up? The clutch cycling switch will cause the clutch to stay engaged or chatter when it disengages. If it is dragging when it is disengaged then the clutch may be bad. bg
