All right, looking for thoughts...

you can hang meat in the cab while under way if you want to; but, when idleing if the fan clutch is not locked I'm not getting enough air flow through the condensor.

The high and low pressure is fine.

The high spike to 450 when idling, but if you place a fan in front it's a steady 250-260.

I had replaced the fan clutch a during the winter because the old clutch began leaking.

The motor never runs hot and on a 80-85 degree day the clutch does not lock up enough for enough air flow when idling to provide cold air.

Do I have a bad fan clutch? Should it be locking up more? Truck never runs hot; but summer has not hit either.

I was going to see if I can find a thin enough electric fan to mount in front of the condensor so I can switch it on when needed.

Anyone else done this?

Any possible problems to be caused elsewhere?

I like the new electric fan to replace the factory fan that is available now, but don't want to spend that kind of money.

Thoughts???

not enough cold air

question and this is only a stab in the dark do you park under trees or any place where foreign junk might enter into the condencer and plug it ? just read over in the first gen forum where this has been a problem. This also an area I constantly fight with my daughter over she parking under pine or other messy trees they plug the drain and vent systems which I clean out at least once a year . I hope its that simple. good bluck.
