My truck's AC system is down. My truck is a 98 2500 CC.

Had my AC system diagnosed yesterday and the Technician stated the Discharge/Suction line was clogged. Most likely at the orfice.

I found out this line is NOT SERVICEABLE as to replacing the $3 orfice. :(

The cheapest I can find a discharge/suction line is $105.

Where can I buy one CHEAPER than that ???

No worries! Just find a place that can backflush the system. Actually, you find out yourself if it is clogged by disconnecting both ends of the line(after having the system reclaimed of course) and blowing compressed air through. Napa sells the solvent if you want to flush it yourself; the can's labeled "Dura 141" a/c flush solvent.

According to my source, the orifice tube is located in the connection where the liquid exits the condenser in front of the radiator and should be servicable without replacing any hose. The orifice itself can be had for anywhere between $10. 00 and $40. 00 depending on where you go and what they offer. If in fact the orifice is in a piece of aluminum line, I would go to napa or some other reputable parts place and talk to them, they ususlly have available parts to splice this type line. bg
