Ok, I just bought a can of that stuff to recharge the A/C for 15 bucks and it still dont work! It makes lots of clicking noises though... what does this mean guys? Also... if anyone has any tips on replacing the front CV/U-joint in the 4 wheel drive that would be great because I'm gonna start that project right now, and I bet I'll cuss and scream for a while, then be back in here looking for answers. Thats what always happens, so I thought I'd ask in advance;)

You probably need another can, put the guage on there, and it should be around 40 psi. When it clicks and clicks, that means it is low, so I have been told.

Wirenut,

Can't help you a whole lot but maybe some. I just had my right side one replaced(by mechanic) plus front axle seal (same side) and some bushing that has to do with engagement of front axles.

I believe cv-u- joint went first causing the axle to wobble taking out seal and bushing.

I know they had to have special tool similar to the one to remove nut off back axle. I don't know if axle actually had to come off for joint alone. Will look thru service manual.

Found it in the manual called a Cardan U- joint. Apparently hub and axle shaft have to come out ( it states at end of directions for axle shaft/ cardan u-joint to follow hub and axle installation).

Hub and axle shaft seems to be about same amount of work as doing back axle.
