a/c help please

My 03 3500 a/c is blowing cold out the drivers side and hot air out the pasenger side. I also have a problem geting the air to blow up at the windsheild out of the uper dash vents. When I set the a/c switch to blow out of the forword dash vents the floor vents open. The heat works and the upper blend door works fine. My coolant level is fine. How can I tell if my controls are bad or if one of the a/c door motors is bad. I have 5 vents that face forword. I took my dash apart and saw all door motors moving but the floor vent motor did not move on demand, it wood move if I turned the blower to off. I now have the air blowing out the forward dash vent and I have disconected the floor vent motor as well as the motor behind the radio because the a/c has a mind of its own. It will switch vents on on its own if you touch the vent control. .
