I have a A/C leak that has had me guessing for 2 years I though I had it fixed when I replaced the evporator it worked for a year now it is back I feel like it is in the connection just after it comes into the engine compartment.

It takes about 3 weeks to a month to loose the 134 a sniffer does not seem to pick it up.

Any ideas would be appciated

More A/C Leaks

I took my '01 in this morning for the same leak. Also have an '02 with the same. Every spring they are both dead and the dealer cant find a problem. I am ready to go to WAR with DC for a real fix. I think I may take it to a real shop for the fix and then bill DC.

Just take it to any AC shop and they can put dye in the system. It is the best and easiest way to find a slow leak. It will show up in a couple of weeks to a month depending on how fast it leaks and how often AC is used. They take a black light or infared light and look for the spot where it is leaking and it shows up like neon green or yellow depending on dye and light setup. I can't believe the dealer didn't do this. It is the first thing to do on a slow leak any tech should know that. But they will keep selling you freon and labor to do it. Good for them bad for you.

I have but dye in it and so far it has not worked. I have had it to 2 shops and no one can find a leak but we still loose 134.
