I'm trying to replace the evaporator in my truck, but can't get the lines disconnected.

Does anyone know how to separate the air conditioning fittings at the evaporator? I removed the plastic clip, and it looks like one end of the line inserts into another connector w/ some o-rings, but I'm not sure.

I haven't taken my trucks a/c apart but most a/c fittings I've seen require a small tool to take apart. They're not expensive and you can find them at any parts store, usually marked something like fuel and a/c line disconnect tools. I'm not sure what size you'll need but they usually come in a pack with several common sizes.

You need to expand the O-ring over the lip of the Male line. this requires a tool that is round and fits around the male line.
