The A/C quit blowing cooled air. The blower works fine, the heater works fine, but no cold air. Before I take it to the dealer, any thing simple I can check? I gave a quick look at the fuse box by the drivers door, didn't see a fuse for the A/C.

Some observations: About 8 weeks ago , on a cold morning (around 34 degrees) after letting the engine warm up a while and after jumping on the freeway, I turned on the heater. Blower worked but no warm air, just cold, icy air. This continued for like 5-10 minutes. Then it worked fine. Is this normal when it is really cold out? Also, when the A/C was working, it seemed to be making a lot of condensation, almost looked like a leak under the truck. Is this normal?

Check to see if the compressor clutch is engaging. It may be as simple as a fuse. In my 97 the AC clutch was routed through the "horn" fuse. May be similar in 02.

Possible your hot/cold blend door hung up somehow, and its stuck on heat? Run the ac on max cold for a couple minutes and check your alum supply pipe for cold. One should be warm to hot, the other friggin cold. ck yer vacuum hoses on all the obvious places, and try spinnin the temp knob left/right a few times with the truck runnin at high idle. .

good luck

My old '99 and currently my '01's evaporators bothed crapped out. I've heard the Rams are notorious for this. Not sure. I paid $750 to get mine replaced (part & labor) but that was too much. I recently found one on Ebay for my '01 for $110 plus shipping. Just add about $200-$300 for labor, if that's even the problem. Hope it's not this because it's a lot of work to replace it.

Fortunately, I bought the truck w/ a wrap around warranty w/ a $100 deductible. It'll be put to good use. She's at the stealership now.
