Wiring the garage for a welder...

What's a good one for the home guy to get , no cheasy import crap, a pro set. I might use it 3-4 times a year. I just want something that will last for many years.

Got a model # and place to get it online? Thanks.

i just noticed the last time i was in sears they were selling a 134 gauge set, can't remember the price or how good but they should be in the online catalog for a closer look, i run snap on r12 and r134 and a back up set of robinair r12 and use them almost daily

3-4 times a year, the inexpensive $70-80 gauge sets will work just fine, and last for years... ... however, I picked up a Snap on set a couple years ago. They have to ride in a service truck year around, and sometimes get used 5-6 times a week  No complaints.

I picked up a 134a manifold set at Advanced Auto for about 85 bucks. It is made in the U. S. A. and comes in a plastic box for storage. I think the name is MasterCool. It came with everything needed assuming you had a large bottle of freon. To use the little 12 oz freon cans, I had to get the can tap. So it really was approx. $79 + 5. 95, or about 85 bucks.

This was less expensive than having the local shop check and fill the a/c last year. So I'm ahead of the game this year. :-laf

i got the onew from harbor freight now too i used to have a real expensive set a few years ago but the gauge faces got destroyed from them bounceing around in my toolbox so ow i just got a cheap set and i think they work just as well and even come with the nice fittings that the fittings alone cost me about $80 on my lsat set of gauges a few years ago
