Depends alot on outside temp. If you can get it down to 50 or below it should be fine. Mine gets down to around 45 to 48 and it is low to mid 90s in Alabama.
 
i drive the same truck as u Bsims and it does get pretty cold inside as long as ur driving if its just sitting there it doesnt get as cold, but i actually find best results when i have the a/c on for a bit then do the recycle air switch on the dial that way ur kinda saving a little fuel especially if ur like me and have to hop out of the truck in hay feilds inn the summer.
 
I can generally get mine down to 40 to 45 and thats when it 90 outside and the humidity is 100% it takes a little while when that hot but it will get down there. It will get that cold almost instant if its not so humid.

Mine gets cold enough that my wife sez "turn that @%$!*&% thing up a little, I'm FREEZING!" :D :D



And THAT is in 100 degree California weather! ;)
