hi and thanks for the suggestions--- when you first turn on the a/c you here a click like the clutch kicking in but then you never here it again(cycling on and off)i tried disconnecting the conection at the little tank near the firewall( thanks B. G. ) and using a paper clip and again you here a click initially and then nothing-- already tried to add refrigerent but no results, it seems once you turn on a/c it wants to kik in then nothing???---thanks
 
Ok, when you hear the click look down at the compressor and see if it is in fact turning. If it is then check the lines going into and out of the truck and see if they are cold or hot or ambient. If the one going from the firewall to the receiver drier is cold than you may have the dreaded blend door problem. bg
