I've got a 90 LE cummins that I just got done cleaning out the heater box and man was I surprised at how clogged the heat and a/c cores were. I haven't had heat in about 20 years. Flushed both cores, cleaned the needles and leaves out of the box and fixed a freon leak. Thank you you tube. A lot of work to get the heater box out. I'd rather rebuild a 727 in the driveway pouring rain than do that again. Now the heat works wonderfully and the a/c will need recharging. Back in the late 90s I was attending Goodguys Pleasanton and came across a swap booth selling r12 replacement I think called quik-cool which I tried and it worked great.Probably 95% as cold as R12. Now I have to recharge the air and I see all sorts of r12 replacements on amazon-ebay. I don't want to convert to134 already done that on a motorhome, no thanks. Anyone have any thoughts on R12 replacements?
