Rim clamp tire changer VS older center post question

Here's one way to find that pesky vibration under power......

Took a picture of the Snap On unit drawing vacuum the other night, had to check the wife's van. Thought it had too much R134A in the system and I was correct.
After one misfire (the thing switched over to KG instead of LB) I had to abort, suck it back out and fill again. Now it works great.

About 15 years ago I bought a new Robinair unit and some other Robinair stuff. Had nothing but problems with all of it. 2 new machines didn't work - out of the box! Gave me a very BAD opinion on their equipment (older stuff was fine). So, I've not bought anything labelled Robinair since.

I've now downsized and got rid of all the "do-it-all" machines and I do everything manually. I don't do near the volume I did and I have had less issues since (correct charging, better air purging from lines, etc). I haven't found anyone else around here that will still do R12.

Added 2oz R-134a to my wife's corolla and now it cools MUCH better!

Hey JR, How goes the battle?

No progress lately, too many irons in the fire at the moment. Between helping the mother in law get moved, fixing and selling her car for her, and cutting up a tree that came down on a friend's house I haven't had any free time.

Brought my 3rd load home last night. Got at least two more to bring home. I either need to get a highway worthy dump, or get rid of my rust bucket and get a dump trailer.

Mike, I'm just curious how you ended up with too much R134A, other than some one else serviced it at one time, and overcharged it. Is this common?
