Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) a/c woes

my uncle has either a 2001 or 2002 ctd. his a/c hasn't been right. dodge is telling him its the condenser inside the dash and its gonna cost about a 1,000 bucks to fix it. most of it being labor. does anyone no if this is a faulty part or if this even sounds right?

You mean the evaporator ?



That sounds a little high but it is a LOT of man hours to replace.
