I got my refund check back, and want your opinions on what should be first.
I'm kind of leaning towards the 370 injectors (dont want to remove the seal on my pump quite yet) plus, I'd like to do the cam plate when I do the governor and AFC springs all at once.
I dont want to do my cluch yet, would the stock cluch hold? I do not abuse it, so I wouldnt think it's worn.
How will the smoke be? What adjustments would be necessary? How much extra power should I expect? It presently runs fine, but should I re time it?
OR should I just get a 280hp cam plate?
I will be towing this summer. 24' TT, about 5000 lbs. A few thousand miles tops. Would any of these mods cause consearn of my EGT? I have gauges.
Thanks.
Eric
BTW the master plan, sometime down the road, is a cam plate, AFC and gov springs, and 370 injectors. I'm told I can get away w/o the 16 cm turbo with this combo. I realise a cluch would be necessary with this setup.

Patriot, I dont have the injectors but was extremely satisfied with the 280 hp plate from tst. Extra hp and torque blew my little mind. They also included a turbo waste gate. I'm not real sure what it did but as far as I could understand it adjusted when the turbo kicks in and when it shuts down. Havent needed new clutch. Pulled 10k pounds a couple of months ago and handled it with ease. Even through the hilly portion of eastern KY. Good luck.

Patriot:

Like "Nate" I think you would be happy
with the TST 280 plate too! I would try
that first in light of what you said
about your clutch.

I am not sure about running the 370's
with the "215 pump. " Joe Donnelly or
Piers can tell you though. When I did
my "modifications" I had the governor
spring, AFC spring kit, pump
"recalibrations" AND the 370's all
done together. Shortly thereafter my
automatic transmission had to be
replaced.

The 370's are going to give you more
smoke. Mine "clears out" at constant
speeds but if I "nail it" I will "fog
it up" pretty good. The EGT's can also
reach 1400 degrees if you are not careful.
However, I still have the stock HX-35/12
but am getting ready to go to the HX-40/16.

For right now I think that 280 plate
would be your best option.

Take care!
