I hit my rad. now i have a leak i was told to pull the fuse so not to damage the pump. but i can`t find it on my 06 Ram. i looked under the hood nothing labled A/C. Is it called something else. I have to drive the truck like this until i can afford to fix it. what should it cost for fixing pin hole & recharge system.

You could always disconnect the wiring harness at the compressor clutch.

Otherwise, try pulling fuse 23 and/or 32 and see what happens. Both are part of the 2006 A/C system.

Doesn't the compressor kick off if the pressure gets too low?

It does but some vehicles will momentarily start the compressor even if the charge is low then shut it down if the pressure doesn't build.

Why take a chance? Disconnect the compressor.

So true and some vehicles bypass the low pressure switch when in defrost mode, don't know if that is the case with our trucks or not but it ain't worth the risk. bg

Thanks guy`s I guess i had a brain freeze. I unpluged it from under the truck. Now lets see what it is going to cost to fix the leak & recharge the system. I didn`t know that the frion was green like antifreeze it worried me at first. I was having a bad day i had 2 new power steering pumps that wouldn`t prime on my buddys truck the 3 one finally worked.

& my other buddy had water in his fuel& the day juts went down hill after that.

Thanks again. Ray.
