Recently had a transmission upgrade with an ATS triple plate torque converter, valve body, and billet input shaft. James (800-678-8000 ext 1495) at Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, ID did the install. His price for parts and labor were lower than anywhere else I talked to. His lead time to schedule the installation was as short as or shorter than other places. He did the job in one day and Dave Smith gave me a loaner while my truck was worked on. (A 3500 Cummins. ) I got my truck from Dave Smith two years ago at a price lower than any other dealer would offer. I recommend anyone else in the area contact them for vehicles, parts, or service. No, I don't work there or own any stock in the company; I am just a satisfied customer.
I haven't driven a truck with a DTT, Suncoast, or any other upgrade, so I can't compare them, but I wish Dodge would have done it right at the factory and saved me the trouble and expense. Shifts are much more positive. This is my definition of “affirmative action. ” They are firm enough I’ll probably be replacing the U-joints eventually.
