my neighbors daughter is 20 years old, and her husband is on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier out of norfolk. when he's at sea, she comes back home with their baby and stays with family. as the events unfolded over the past few days, we all watched together, as alot of folks did. i couldnt help but steal a glance at her every now and then to think what must be going through her mind. the only thing that i could think to say to her was, " dont worry, hes the best, and so are the rest of his shipmates, they'll be fine" i beleive this. watching tv the other night, i saw one interviewer question the dedication and resolve of our kids today, only to be answered by their young guest that the emts, firemen and policemen that gave everything were, in the most part, in their early 20's. that kind of opened my eyes. we are all worried today, but these young soldiers, sailors, airmen are the best. dont worry, we will prevail as we always have, and we can thank the next generation when all is said and done.
