a few Q's about gauge install

ok. . I was looking at Geno's filter cap for the fuel... its has a tap on top to add a pressure sender... now. . will that show pressure before the filter or after?? also I was thinking of adding a exhaust temp gauge... I have an 05 where do you mount it in the exhaust? I was looking and hoping that there was a plug I could remove... but no dice!!!!!!!! thanks in advance... . Garth

You'll have to drill and tap a hole for the probe in the exhaust.



A port in the fuel filter cap will give you a pre filter reading.

Thanks... BUT... I think I would rather have the post filter pressure dont you think? that way if you change your filter and it still does not work then you know its the pump? right??

Always go for a post filter measurement if you're only going to have one. A tapped banjo at the CP3 is the easiest way to get it.

Excuse my ignorance, but what/where is the "CP3"?

Your high pressure "injection" pump. Mounted in the back of the gear case on the drivers side of the engine about half way down.
