I broke my left shoulder about 3 weeks ago in a mountain bike crash. I think I've aged 10 years since then. It could have been a lot worse, so I'm gratefull for that.

I won't bother you with the pics of the damage to me.

2002 has been a sucky year

Sheesh Klenger,

Sorry about your sucky luck! I've had not such a fun year, I've lost 2 dogs (1 ran away, then the replacement dog was killed by a car), my grandma had a stroke, my 82yr old grandpa was thrown in jail, got into a disagreement with a good friend who wouldnt' speak to me for several months, had all sorts of fuel system problems on my truck and had it die on me in BF Oregon this weekend, had my truck come under assault by Door Dingers, Window Breakers and Bumbling Hood Denting Windshield Installers of the world, just crunched up my $400 Dam Air airdam when I went off-roading, ruined my airhorn tank too, wasted $$ on a couple other BOMBs that didn't work, bought an expensive set of 18" Weld wheels that DON'T FIT after WELD insisted they would but now they're mine. . .

Yeah, 2002 has been quite a year :eek:

But, there's lots of things to be happy about and look on the bright side, I know lots of people have it worse than I do, at least I have a good job and a truck in my driveway :)

I know what you guys mean. I won $200 million in the Lottery, but wanted a one time lump sum payout. They kept almost $100 million, because I wanted one lump sum payment and then the government took $40 million for taxes leaving me with only $70 million dollars. Man I am really ****** off. :-laf

Ya'all are having a year no one should have. I dont have a thing to complain about except Texas summers and that has been nicely balanced by all the great TDR people I have met here. I hope it gets better for you guys.

Good Luck

John

Now that would **** me off. I bet he was talking on the cell phone and trying to eat his lunch while he was driving. He needs to pay for the repair and a rental car and then some pain and suffering for the hassle you have to go through to have your truck fixed. I don't see how $923. 00 could be enough. Looks like it was one of though days you should of stayed in bed. :(

that is the cost of just the repair, he was 16 and his dad is paying for it so it does not go on his insurecne. I don t get a car to drive so I just have to suck it up. :{

I agree, my Mom got stuck on a deal like that. Ended up turning it into her insurance and her rates went up even though it was the kids fault. This guy is not doing his kid any favors. The kid needs to see what happens when you screw up and how you have to pay. Too many parents don't make their kids take responsiblity. Plus why is it your responsiblity to take care of his kids screw up :confused:

I agree with Pit Bull, I don't see how $923 would fix your truck.

About a year ago I was backing up in the dark and bumped a VW Jetta at about 0. 05mph. Tagged it just behind the rear door on the driver's side. Cost? $911 :mad:

jwaters, have you ever been to Bowling Green? I too race a Buick as well as my Dad. I took first place the last time I took my ride down and in 2001 both of my X brother-in-laws took their cars down that I did the engines in. 1 took 2nd and the other ended up in 4th. You just have to love them Buicks. I race an old noisy loping V8 and Dad runs a mid 11 T-Type but I'm the one that ended up buying a Cummins. He's to pro-GM to switch.

1990 was the year I took first place in Bracket 3 driving my 70 GS green Stage 1 car. I have since sold it and I am now building a 71 Skylark Bracket racer. It is street legal but I am putting it together mainly just to race. It currently has a 430 in it that is stock internally except for the cam and has headers, B4B, Q-jet,and an extremely good Dynamic converter and turbo 400. It normally runs 12. 0s to 12. 2s through a 3 inch exhaust system. I will eventually put an aluminum headed 462 in it when the rest of the chassis and cage work is finished. It should be a mid to low 10 combination that will live for 4 or 5 years before having to be freshened. I'm more interested in getting some life out of the engine than building a high strung race engine. My Wife and I are also avid ATVers and live within 15 miles of one of the better places in Missouri to ride. If your ever interested in riding Chadwick drop me a line. I ride there pretty often.
