Looking for 5th Wheel Camper

AAA RV Roadside Service

Hi guys; I have a friend who is looking for a trailer or 5th wheel that he is going to leave it in Parker, Az. He'll live in it during the winter for about 4 months and the rest of the year it will be stored down there. I have given him my thoughts but wanted to get yours. He wants to spend in the 20k range so it should be older but with one or two slides. What are the better ones and the ones he wants to stay away from. Plus I was wondering about the heat with an rv being stored during the summer. Are there some hints to what to do during that time? Thanks for your help. Brett

Arctic fox

I would highly recommend the AF line of trailers. AFAIK there are 3 different lines and many different floor plans to choose from. They have very nice interior colors as well. JMHO.

I learned the hard way that most slide outs leak and the floors will rot. When looking at older ones poke around the floors and look for soft spots. I would also recommend going to an RV show or two before they buy one. Being able to look at a bunch of different models and floor plans at the same place helps find the right rig.

I have a Friend with a Very nice 5th wheel trailer that is For Sale if he want's more info Let me know .

I have kept my Arctic Fox in Parker year round for the last 5 years (since I bought it) and it has taken a beating from the Sun. I have plans to relocate it back here in SoCal at my home I purchased with lots of RV space to store it at. I have had professional detailers at $500 a pop wash and wax it every other year and it still took a beating. The storage savings storing it there instead of SoCal, have helped in the detailing costs, but after 5 Years, most of the graphics have been ruined. Most of the RV's stored there look the same if they have been there awhile. Just food for thought.

I have a 2006 Cardinal 5er. 34TS That's three slides, king bed, two TV's, DVD, home stereo, free standing dinete.
Also has central vac. Only one 15000AC, but is wired for the second one. It could come with all fixings to just move
in. Pots, pans, silver cups, plates, towels, bedding, glasses, just a lot of stuff to make this a move in special.
Has low miles as it has been in a campground. Can get pictures to you by e-mail. Asking $20,000, new cost
$50,000. -- email address removed --
