A fuel saving BMW - Isetta

My brother won one of these cars in 1957... It had a 250 CC 1 cylinder BMW Motorcycle engine... . they also made a later model with the Big 300 CC and this very rare one a 2 cyl 600 cc... ... . you can see that it wouldn't pass any safety features today - with the front door - if you got hit by anything larger than a June bug - you were trapped - also on the other models the rear wheels were mounted together about a foot apart - so you could not miss a bump... ... . i. e. you straddled it with the front wheels only to hit it with the rear ones that were way inside... ... this model looks more like a real car... . just what somebody needs - a gas saving BMW... ... .



These are so ugly - well they're kind'a cute... ...
