A good way to win a beer or coffee bet???

Ask a buddy or a car salesman - these guys are the best to ask as they think they know everything - especially the younger ones.....



Go up to the Truck and say did you know that these pickup beds aren't square? Now obviously they are longer than they are wide - BUT the distance inside the bedrails closest to the cab is QUIT A BIT WIDER than at the tailgate end - sure way to win a bet... ... just go measure..... AND why did they make the 3rd generation short boxes several inches shorter than the 2nd generation ones?????

I heard they made the 3rd gens bed 3 inches shorter because they made the Quad Cab 3 inches longer and they wanted to keep the truck the same size.

i think that is only where the bed rails are though. when you measure the bottom of the bed, the front of the bed tucks back in about 2" or so below the rail

I was told they did that so that it would fit in a normal size garage. Chevy did the same thing when they did their 1/2 ton crew cab short bed. And just look at the Ferds. They are really short.
