A little computer help,please

To all of you computer gurus,what do I need to download from a digital video camera to this site. I'm going to the local truck pulls tommorrow and will try to get some good footage of me and others pulling. I just bought this camera Saturday and don't know a whole lot about it. It's a J. V. C. ,don't know the model cause I'm at work and it's at home. Do I need to buy some kind of adapter to plug it in to the p. c. or what. Any help appreciated for the computer illiterate Also what's the general concencous on Dell computers?... . Doug

Most recent digital camcorders use firewire to get the video into the PC. You can go out and get a firewire card for under $50. Then you'll need some software to do it (unless you have Windows XP or a Mac). It can be fun doing a little editing. Realize any video file is going to be huge. Even with a broadband connection, it can take a while.

Dell computers - use them at work and have them at home. Have had two service calls in past two years on the one at home and response has been excellent. They take my word for what is wrong and have sent the correct parts twice for the technician to repair.
