Now, can you guys help a brother out? Do I need to spend the extra cash on a triple disk or will the single perform just fine? Right now I only have an EZ, but in the future would like an Edge Juice or Smarty. How much power are you all putting through either one? I pull a 10000 lb 5th wheel. I don't drag race and don't plan on sled pulling.

What'dya think?

My TQ would slip slightly with just a VA box and a set of 275 injectors even when not towing my 10k lbs. trailer so I knew I had to upgrade. I went with a 91 percent triple disc. I paid to have it installed and I figured there wouldn't be all that much difference on the total cost. Dunrite, DTT, and Goerends have good single disc converters and there may be others so do your homework and compare the out of pocket costs between the single and triple converters

I have decided that I am going with Goerends. I meant to put that it my orginal post. Where I need help, is if I really need the triple disk, or of the single would do just fine. Is there a difference in drivability or just in power handling?

I have the Suncoast single and it will hold close to 500 HP they say, but probably not towing 10K. There is a balance to be found in all of these upgrades. I know a few guys with the annoying problem of the truck not wanting to idle well because of the extra drag created by the triple. Or having to bear down on the brakes because the truck wants to creep at idle due to the triple adding to the fluid coupling effect. For me it came down to this, how much power are you going to have to hold and which one will do that. Sometimes more is not better. A single is less expensive by around $300 so if you don't need that much holding force then get a good single. My single has 40% more holding force than the stock convertor. Is that enough? for me it is.

Locked is locked whether single or triple, and the "mushy" feeling has to do with convertor efficiency and more important, stall speed, both of which can be specified to a certain extent when ordering.
