A Little Problem With My Rancho's ??

On the front shocks the lower bolt are under sized. Its starting to rattlle the floor boards pretty good now. They are the stock bolts that came with the truck. I was wondering if I need to just get bigger bolts or install smaller bushings? I'll need info on how and where to get these parts.

Jeff: I have the Rancho 9000's on my 95, with no problem. I suspect they gave you the wrong bushings.

Try Tightening the bolts!

Mine rattled upon first install. I retighten the bolts and that cured it. I put 80K on first pair and have just installed replacements. Big wrench, cheater or very good air wrench.



If not, Steve S. or Dave F. had a nice discussion on solving this problem. Have to search for the tread.

I think they gave you the wrong bushings Jeff. Mine were very tight and as I recall it took quite a bit of pressure just to get the bolts through the bushings. As they are tightened they really firm up.

Check the blt torque, it is quite high and will cause the rattle you speak of. Been there, tightened that!
