I'm at work. it's usually never good news... . Actually it's never good news Probably why i developed a hatred for the phone over they years. The mere sound of a phone ringing puts me in a bad mood. My wife will never ask me to get the phone for her and I will not answer the phone at home unless the caller Id shows friend or family and only then its only a 50 50 chance I will answer it

PS The phone never rang It was a good night!

I bought a '57 Golden Hawk in 1968 as a project. Since my family was young I seldom had money and time together so it took me eight years to get it ready to show. Since I was then afraid to drive it much due to scarcity of parts I worked a trade with my body man who helped me with a '54 Chevy half-ton.

Studebaker had a lot of nice innovations down thru the years. Golden Hawks had McCollough superchargers from the factory. When I bought my project I drove it past a dealer who had sold Studebakers to find out what I had. He pointed to the 160 mph speedometer and said, "They didn't put that in for decoration!" My car was bought new by the sheriff of Laramie County, Wyoming and it had "been rode hard and put away wet!" Alas, Studebaker, Hudson, Packard, and some others, found that being too far ahead in technology can be a negative (at least in days gone by).

I tried to post pics of both the above but they are tif files and I couldn't make things work.
