OK - I've used this for years and loaded the latest version on my i7 PC... . it is fantastic..... What it allows you to do is capture any portion of the screen and in a simple Paste move put it directly into email as an example... ... . or anyplace you want to use it... ... . fantastic for browsing the WEB and capturing stuff,,,AND it's FREE... ... . AND SIMPLE... ... ... ... ... ...

Snagit is a paid application we've used for years to do that on the Windows platform.
As a recent MAC convert, I discovered this feature is already built into the OS by simply pressing SHIFT-CONTROL-COMMAND-4 and defining the capture window corners. Sweet!
