Just so you guys see how serious I am about dodge trucks. I just took a few pics of what is at my house. The 98 is nearly no miles and never had a hitch put in it

I would suggest getting off the Military section. If you haven't served you have no idea of what you speak. The Air Force regularly sends B-52's to depot for modifications, air frame inspections and a lot more. Best to keep this on suspensions of grounded objects.

When did you retire? Recall who gave you your ME ride?

I retired in '93, took my ME ride in '88 or '89 from a guy who died when one of the retaining pins broke and a blade went through the cockpit. That was in about '95 IIRC. He was working for a contractor. The whole fleet was grounded due to corrosion on the retaining pins. His name was Don Rawlins.

I know of that crash. I recall it being part of the reason fat boy strap packs were made.

In aviation if I let my helicopter set in a hanger without flying it for 12 years and have all the annual service and inspections done the aircraft is considered by the FAA and NTSB to be worn out to the point it must be totally dismantled and remanufactured on the last day of the month of the 12th calendar or 2200 operational hours which ever comes first. That is maintenance. At some point every piece including the core airframe is no longer usable. There's a good reason why. I made a brief example in a previous post.

Maintenance is key, yes, but at some point continuing forward becomes stupidity. Be proud of your truck but realize there are things you guys don't understand that will get someone killed by wearing ultra high mileage on your sleeve like a badge of honor.

You'd have been further ahead not calling BS on people you don't know from the start if you wanted anyone here to take you seriously. People tend to be less responsive when their credibility is challenged which you did almost immediately. I'm sure I speak for the vast majority when I say we would be interested in seeing what you've got beyond a drawing on a napkin. Everyone here is pretty mechanically minded and open to "new stuff" if it works. That being said there aren't many 2 wheel drives floating around anymore and the ones that are are mostly set up for towing not hot rodding, so I'm not sure how well it would sell on this forum.

I didn't start the deal with the military. I wasn't even on the subject of the military. I am a commercially licensed instrument rated helicopter pilot and I'll say whatever I want to about that sector of aviation. The military got brought into it blindly by someone saying "a friend of mine"did sew n sew. I had no idea any of them were military. WHY does everyone want to jump on my ass?

I'm a damn red blooded American and I don't stand for this "you need to watch your mouth" crap. I work my ass off, pay taxes, own multiple companies, and promote the old way of living in this country. I like to go burn tires, roll coal, and shoot my guns on my home land legally even when there's nothing to shoot and all kinds of things people today are trying to take away from us. I speak my mind whether it's offensive or not because I mean what I say and I'm not some pansy ass that is going to be told to apologize. I promote our president because he the the chief of staff and I stand behind the military and law enforcement with support for everything they do risking their lives for us. I'm a real American. Not one of these new age people that just live here and want the destruction of our way of life. So if that is in any way offensive then get the hell out of my country.

I say that expecting respect if your an American because we should stand proud together.

At this point I'm looking back and the thread went pretty well and I was as polite as could be until I was shown negativity.

It's pretty clear that this group is like every other forum I've seen. Everyone knows everything and evolution is impossible in the community eyes. If there is evolution it is to be tested with negativity at every angle before it is even allowed to be tried.

I came here primarily to share modern technology.

If I have to fight everyone to share it then I'll just keep it to myself.

Respect is earned not given. Good luck with your latest and greatest buisiness venture. If your 1/10 as successful as you claim to be there must be someone on the front lines with their head screwed on straight.

You nailed it sir! Well said. I AM a loose cannon. It works for me. Some love me and more hate me.

I am who I am and I don't act fake to please people. I hate when people do that. Makes them appear to be a liar to me.

Thanks for the good words man

If Gary tells you that a duck can pull a freight train, then I say hook him up and let him pull! He is the high mileage king and I have no reason to doubt him. I just read through this whole thread and am sitting here shaking my head...…………………………...

You forgot to say you are an idiot with no people skills.

I might really be an idiot with no people skills but the ones that get past it find out I'm one hell of a mechanical engineer. People make horrible friends when they figure out you have something they want. I got sick of being used and it turned me into an ass hole.

Might want to re-read the thread. No one was saying anything about any of their friends, just themselves.

This is part why everyone is acting this way. This whole thread is you making some bold and false ASSumptions... on trucks and helicopters.

At least were getting our daily dose of laughter from it.

Well Charlie that one hell of a collection of Ram trucks! Good luck on your venture but dont expect any forum to be different if you keep coming off the same, just a friendly tip.
