some of you have probably seen that crap where someone is driving with a leg hanging out the window, i have seen it in heavy traffic, this morning i saw it in traffic with a 18 wheeler, followed him a couple miles and watched him change lanes and brake in 35-45 mph 3 lane morning traffic with a 53' trailer

Hmmmm. I've got to admit, I've never seen that from an 18 wheeler. I used to drive OTR, and I've tried a lot of positions just to get comfortable, but hanging the clutch foot out the window wasn't one of them. It wouldn't be difficult if you weren't close to stopping as most only use the clutch for 1st gear of reverse.

I haven't hung my foot out the window but I have put my feet up in different positions. Seen other truckers put their feet on the dash.

I've put my right foot on the cup holder with the cruise on, because there is no place to stretch your leg out in a 9700 series international conventional. Maybe the guy with the left leg out had an Allison auto, alot of big rigs run them.

Or a 2 pedal automated transmission. They have a T/C, instead of a clutch.



If not, a REAL idiot. I have seen a few drivers of 4-wheelers with a foot out the window.
