Hello all,

I just received my new guages and I'm debating on whether or not to use an A-pillar mount. Anyone have any pictures of a set installed using an A-pillar mount? Any issues of the guages being "too close" to your head?

I'm also looking for a on/off push button switch w/ a yellow LED in the center to indicate the "On" position. Much like the ones DC uses for the A/C button, mirror defroster button, etc. on our trucks.

Thanks and have a safe New Year,

Ryan

I have mine in the dash under the heater controls. The A piller is pretty thick without any guages on it. I have a couple of pictures in my reader rig on the guages installed in the dash. I got the panel from Quadzilla performance. Viewing is not great but once you get used to where the dials are normally it is easy to see if they change from that.

Here ya go!

For me, no issues with being too close to my head. I'm 6'4" and they are just right for me.

I wish, I'd have gotten the 3 pod pillar mount!

I'd like to add at least a real oil pressure gage.

I've also been wandering how accuarate any of these "dummy" gages are and looking for new places to stash redundant gages.

I think I can add a total of 3. 2 gage pod to 3(boost, EGT and add oil pressure), and the cubby hole below the seat heater controls. That cubby hole is very low, but I'm sure I can fabricate some sort of "fish eye" socket to angle up and over toward me.

Thats a total of 5 gages, any suggestions other than the the two I have and the one I am going to add?

Yeah, I've thinking about that Fred.

We have Boost, EGT, Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressure ... ... ... ... ... . 1 more!

Do any of you think you would be interested in a gage mount for that cubby hole? Like I said with a socket that aims the gages up at the driver? I could make a couple dozen up here at the shop and check into some textured coatings other than a shiny powder coat.

I sell them. It is a replacement.

One more, how about a rear end temp to go with the mag-Hytec cover, for those times you do tow something real heavy. That's what my 3rd gauge is in the pillar. Add the Fast Coolers, and a toggle switch to cover both temps. Fuel pressure is in a single under dash cup mount.

Going to figure out where to add an in cab electric pressure gauge for the air supply for Exhaust Brake, Air Horns, Air Bags, and plain old on-board air.

Installing the tank in the next day or so. Almost time to test out the air horn on a few idiots on the road here.

I have the 3 pillar pod too and wouldn't have it any other way. . there are some pics in my reader rig gallery. I find that my eye goes to the middle and the bottom gauges the most. So I went Trans, Egt, Boost. :D:D:D:D

Who makes the three pod unit that looks a little "softer"? The photos above look like the GaugeWorks brand pods. I have seen some other ones that are more curved, there isnt a sharp edge where the flat face that the gauge mounts in meets the A pillar. Does anybody know what I am talking about?

Also is there anybody who is making it in taupe? Seems like your only choice is to paint it if you want taupe.

Thanks!

Peter
