I want to mount gages and would like to know the pros and cons of both styles of pods. Witch is easier to install and hide wires? Is it hard to wipe dust off the dash pod because of its proximity to the windshield? Thanks for any advice in advance.

2 years ago I really wanted a dash mount and searched all over to no avail. Finally "settled" for a triple pillar mount, did the install myself including color match. Love it, glad the gauges are not sitting on the dash. You can completely and easily "conceal" all wiring with a pillar mount and even experienced people think its a OEM option. Best advice is to look around, go to a local meet, and decide what look you like best. Have Fun, Jim G.

Did the A-pillar on mine, up out of the way. Also matched the color. Hiding the wires was no problem.

A pillar all the way,its using wasted space, and the guages are close to you and close to eye level. Wiring is close too, your close to fuse box,and headlight switch.

I have both. The dash pod is not hard to dust, but the window area behind the pod is challenging to clean. My wife also has a hard time seeing over the dash pod.

I went with the dash pod. I wanted to be able to watch the gauges while keeping my eyes on the road, plus the A pillar is a big enough obstruction already with out making it larger.

I imagine the A pillar install is a little easier as there is not much access behind the dash.

I am wondering which way to go also. I am stuck between a three-mount A pillar mount or the one on top of the steering shaft with two gauge locations--one fuel pressure and a dual monitor for EGT and boost. I like the steering shaft mount because I was thinking of fabricating a grab bar for the A pillar, but I have not seen many pics of the shaft mounts. Does anyone have some good one's??

I went with the dash pod because I'm just a tad farsighted and can't read piller mounted gauges unless I put on my reading glasses.
