A question on alarm systems.

Okay,has anyone been creative with their factory alarm system. I want to add a siren, shock sensor, and interior motion sensor but I am not sure if it is possible to do it. Where is the brain for the factory alarm located and does it have auxiliary inputs and outputs. Any information that I might need to do this would be appreciated.

I don't know if this counts as creative but I added the doors/windows of my bed topper to the alarm circuit... . surprised myself a few times when I opened the back with the alarm set.

You may be able to do it but I would think it would be easier and cost affective just to add a complete new alarm system.

I don't know if the factory alarm has any inputs and outputs, but through a series of relays and diodes you could add to the existing alarm, something that would have to be checked into.

I added a complete alarm system with remote start to existing factory alarm on the wife's 560 but that was a job.
