OK! the new showerheads are in and let me tell anyone on the fence about these things to jump off and get em! It took me like 7 hours :{ To get these things in but I did have some side projects like painting the injector lines and boost elbow. I took it out for a spin and the smoke is nowhere near how much I thought there would be, which is good. Power is awesome, No lope or flutter with stock D/V's Oo.
Some points id like to bring up.
1. The DIAPCO install kit comes with junk :-{} return line washers , the holes are to big for the banjo bolts and when you tighten them they squirm and leak. I need to replace a few tomorrow with the stock ones i noticed a small leak on the #6 injector.
2. Bleeding the air out of the lines is a m/f er', I must have been doing something wrong, because it took me like 10 starter cycles to get this thing running
3. 10 y/o injectors dont come out so easy. I needed a 4' breaker bar to help me out. on the # 5+6 cyl, the holddown bolt was rusted to the injector body, and the injector spun in the hole while I was loosening the nut. The ball made a little groove when it spun, I hope its not a problem.
4. I discovered the Valves on my truck were never touched yet, the bolts on the valve covers have no marring of the paint. Noticed that when I took off the vanity cover. put that on the to-do list.
5. 1/2" clear tubing rigged to the shop vac cleans out the injector bores nicely.
I guess thats it. anyone have any questions or comments, lets hear it.
