After having to replace my stock front rotors every year from heat damage, as well as never having good stopping power, I decided last year to upgrade to A. R. T. slotted rotors.

THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING UPGRADE! Oo. I raced for a whole season, with no creeping at the starting line even under boost (a major problem in the past), and excellent braking at 112+mph. My brakes are awesome on the street in all circumstances, even with the rears not adjusted (I like to do burnoffs). I have roughly 15,000 miles on them now and the rotors are in perfect condition, still on the set of pads that came with them! They have never smelled or felt hot either.

I paid $380 for the set including pads; worth every dime!

LOtero,

Take a look at the Powerslot Cryo'ed rotors and Hawk pads, best change I ever made to my truck, shorter stops, no fade, no warpage etc etc. They get their raw castings frmm the foundry (lost of them come from Brembo) and do their own machine work, most folks just get a stock rotor from a local parts wharehouse and then cryo treat them. There are a couple of companies that are just two guys that cyro treat on the weekends and at nights, no real R&D or engineering department etc at all! The Powerslots have different fin designs, thicker catsings etc etc based on the truck make and model. Much better than what some comapnies offer and very pirce competitive too!

I agree stay away from drilled rotors on our trucks, they will crack under load.

I have often wondered how well the Powerslot rotors worked.

Mark, do you have different heat range pad sets available?

I'm sorry I haven't kept good track of that stuff. I would call Steve at (714) 527-9400 and just have a little chat with him. They'll tell you everything you need to know. Glad I could be of help! :)
