I'm looking for a place that sells some sort of a rack that I can put my dirt bikes on the bed of my truck. I've seen it before and wish that I would have asked where he got it. The reason that I want this is I plan on getting a camping trailer. With this rack that I saw they could put 3 bikes or I think 2 four wheelers. Plus It would give me some cargo space underneath them. Does anybody know what I am trying to explain here? Thanks in advance.

Yes I do I think I have seen it at www.atvramps.com or

www.discountramps.com. Unless you are just talking about the bar that goes across the front of the bed w/ wheel chocks and tie-downs. That is what I have. Below is a list of them. I ended up going w/ the ccrsport model (bed buddy).

Box Bar Pro Price is $70. Pretty hard to tell from the pics what the quality is like. Anyone have one of these? No option to move the center bike position back like the bed Buddy.

Motobar by Dirtwerkz Price is $150. I kind of like the looks of this one but haven't actually seen it up close and personal. Not sure if the construction (Aluminum) is strong enough and the tie down rings seem pretty small, like it would be hard to get two tie-downs in there.

Bed Buddy Price is $140. This one looks pretty nice but I kind of wish it were a bit wider. Currently this is the one I am leaning towards.

Samson Rack by Universal Price is $120. I saw this one on the Toyota Yamahualer and it is really nice but there is no middle bike shoe and the position of the middle tie down pretty much limits your ability to carry 3 bikes IMHO. Otherwise I don't see how you could beat this one and if I thought I'd never need to carry 3 bikes or had a smaller truck this is the one I would want.

Spectrum Innovation Sport Bar Price is $283 after you by all needed component for 3 bikes. I just can't see how this one could possibly be worth double or triple the price. Yeah being able to place the tie-downs and chocks in different locations is nice but its also more bolts to worry about coming loose and rattling.

Fabtech Rack Price is $65. This one looks a lot like the Bed Buddy at less then half the price but I'm one of those guys that always thinks there must be a catch. How can the quality be as good for this price?

US Rack Price is $199. I've pretty much ruled these out as I don't like the way they fit over the bed rail and I don't like the idea of those clamps or chocks sticking down into the bed. I'd actually prefer to have something bolted through. I mean that is why I have the truck.

opps here I think this is what your looking for http://www.atvramps.com/atvrack.htm

Personally I think things like the bed buddy are a waste of money. I've been hauling dirt bikes in the bed of pickups for 15 years. Right now in my Ram, I haul two bikes (drz 400's) I have not center eye bolt. I use the front factory tie down hooks and also ties down the backs of the bikes to the facotry hooks. and once you pull down on the tie downs and compress the front forks, there's no need for a chock, the wheel can't turn do to the pressure on the handle bars.

I had a center bolt in the Dakota, but it proved not to be a good tie down point being that it was too close to the bike.

Also, don't make the mistake of when putting one bike in and tying it down int he center of the bed, that will bend the front bed wall. But maybe that's one thing the bed buddy is good for?

I;ve hauled bikes in an 85 NIssan, 86 ranger, 88 ranger, 91 f-250, s-10, a couple of dakotas and a couple of rams, and a 2000 f-250.

I saw someone driving a PS with a custom rack that sat up on top of the rails and was 6-8 inches wider than the bed. He had two atvs side by side on it, with all of the bed below open for cargo. I'm sure it makes the truck a little top heavey, but nothing like a big cabover would.

I bet the ramps would need to be realy stout to get up there.
