Interesting story that made my day.

This morning I was my way to work through my usual route that takes some back roads from my house to the I-15 in an attempt to outsmart the rest of the commuter crowd. It has been "cold" lately and every morning the Ram takes its 20 seconds to warm up the grid heater and then start purring like a kitten.

I go around a corner and all of a sudden I see a minivan (a Toyota Previa to be precise) off the road down a pretty steep ditch. Pulled over to make sure the guy was ok; he was visibly shaken and asked me for some help.

I actually didn't do much other than pulling a tow strap out of the truck, wrapped it around the front axle carrier of the Previa, and attached it to front hook of the Ram. The truck the the rest. It was complaining of lack of rear tire traction at the beginning and asked me if I wouldn't mind twisting the transfer case knob one notch. After that the car came out like it was not even the 4,000 lbs it was... And plowed along a good amount of dirt for good measure.

The fella gave me a hog after all of this: the car had a blown tire and it looked like it either had front suspension damage or was dragging along some big chunk of the chassis, but at least it was back on the roads, not down a ditch. Knowing I actually helped a complete stranger made me feel good and made me proud of the truck (that actually did all the work)...

What's your Ram owner moment?
