:( A question for you fellow members in the know. When driving between 50 and 65 and accelorating mildly, engine not fully to temp ,unloaded ,02 auto, there may be a slight explosion occouring in the turob . Has any one expierenced such an event ? could it be something other than the turbo ? More info, the truck is stock and has about 13k miles total on it . It hasn,t been to the dealer and I don't want them to reflash it unless no other option. Thanks K. E.

Dont really understand. Sounds like when a boost hose blows off, but that only hapens once (at a time), followed by almost no power, and the boost gauge goes to zero. And you can hear the turbo blowing air into the engine compartment.

Does this happen repeatedly?

Yes almost every time I drive it and hit highway speed before complet warm up. This sounds like a carb backfire in a gasser when it isn't tuned right. its not loud and only happens before temp reaches full normal range. Nothing blows off or becomes detached and I don't know if an over fueling or incomplete burn would cause an explosion, although small, in the exhaust? or turbo area.

Good question RA, i'm not near the truck right now but will ck. it in a couple of months when the weather gets better in SW Missery. Tks K. E.
