Will diesel owners always be treated as second class

I ran across this and thought it was funny, but really its not. Some guy who is sick of his Ford being broke all the time called Ford and compalined, and the guy he complained to eventually hung up on the owner. So the owner posted out if his flustration and the guy that hung up on him replied to him. Why do these people keep buying Fords?

My neighbor just got a used 04. I warned him. He's had it for three weeks. First thing I noticed was that it has a lot of turbo noise. Just moving around in the driveway sounds like a big truck climbing a long hill on the interstate. After three full weeks, the turbo is now making a chirping sound and the truck has started missing under load. At idle, it lopes or surges. As soon as he pulls out on the road with his 15 foot flatbed, there is an audible skip as he accelerates.

There sure are a lot of confrontational people on the 6. 0 part of TDS--thank goodness I only play in the OBS forums; great crowd in those areas.

What makes me wonder about some 6. 0 Ford owners is they are on their third buyback truck. Could it be brand loyal or... . ??

From my experience, it's a combination of brand loyalty, blind loyalty, stupidity, stubborn-ness, and that, when running properly, a 6. 0 is a lot of fun to pedal around. The latter is a rare occurrence, but enough to keep them coming back. :-laf

Ford-speak for the '92-'97 trucks... the real ones, not the Mickey Mouse wanna-be looking things they build now. :-laf

Hi Skippy,

Just thought I'd set the record straight for all to see.

Ford Has it's own defences so I won't post company views here.

This will be my one and only personal responce to you as well.

PRT is a customer service position which will no longer be available after Aug 1, 2006. The PRT project was a sample project which was designed to collect the type of problems diesel customer's have been experiencing and empower the PRT Rep to help by contacting a large range of management and engineering folks at Ford.

It seems that we were very much needed for this customer advocacy position as there have been(shall we call them. . )miscommunications between management folks and consumers like us. Our calls are recorded for several purposes. I think you're responce on this issue was not entirely unjustified as the issue seems to remain. As your issue remains, so does the support Ford provides to resolve it. As your customer advocate I would have moved the mountain called Ford Motor Company to resolve the concern and been happy to do so. You see they hired folks like me that have experiences in common with customers like you.

We are transitioning to a new position and Sheri was unable to continue to assist you. I have been limited to one ability now... to close the cases we were working on. For all new issues or old, the ability to let Ford know is still available to all at the customer service line, 1 (800)392 Ford. So, as I informed you on the phone, please call Ford customer service to let them know your concerns. Also note that the Service Manager at your preferred dealership has the ability to request FMC advanced support. Hint: The diesel cases are still being handled, but not by us.

Please note: I was pleased that your friends called too. I took the time to respect their friendship with you as well and answered them.

From me to you Skipper: Smile and the world smiles with you. But cuss, slam, bash, and insult a tall XXL customer service person who cant reach through the phone to sieze you nor say anything in kind as the damned call is being recorded and YOU STINK ALONE! Name anyone that would have listened to you longer than I did.

P. S. I am definately not your friend nor a devil's advocate.

I own a 7. 3, which has been a great truck, but there has been so many issues with the 6. 0, FMC service departments and even with the diesel stop website that it has completely change my mind. One to buy a 6. 0 is downright foolishness and don't even get started on a 6. 4 tt for 07, Two, FMC not to help their "loyal" customers who keep buying that POC 6. 0 and thirdly TDS editing the wedsite to keep the complaints down if anyone states anything political or somewhat offensive it gets yanked. That is why my next truck will be a dodge
