I'm new to TDR and i would like to know if there a list of explainations for all of the abbreviations that are being used in the forums. Like for instance what is a BOMB, HX40, DDTTPM, BHAF W/MALLORY or B1 anyway i'm sure you get the picture. If their isn't why not make one up for us new uneducated pupils.

P. S. love the siteOo.

Michael welcome, you are on a slippery slope. if i explain these things to you, you run the chance of becoming an addict. ok here goes DD1"s are stage 1 injectors made by diesel dynamics, they also make stage 2's DD2s and stage 3's and so on and so forth. ETC stands for the engine option in autos and 5 speed trucks, ETH is the high output version only found in 6 speeds. BOMB stands for better off modified baby. and a bomber is a sick and twisted individual like me who would modify anything and everything on the truck. hx35, hy35 and hx40 are all different turbos. hy35 is stock on the 2001 and newer auto trucks, hx35 comes on everything else. the hx40 is stock off of an 8. 3 liter cummins, and the B1 is a new hybrid turbo sold by kwikkurt. Bhaf stands for big honkin air filter and the mallory is a mount for it. ddttpm is a fueling box sold by diesel dynamics. Other boxes are the edge comp, edge EZ, tst power max, blue chips blue box, the VA, and a slew of others. DTT stands for diesel transmission technology, if you have an auto remember that name.

Make up a sig so we can see what year/style truck you have and we can point you in the right direction.

What a genius!

Michael,

What a genius you are. I never thought of asking! I have been reading posts for a couple weeks now and am figuring out all this stuff slowly but surely. Granted, I'm learning a lot more than just what the acronyms stand for in the process, but the learning would have gone much quicker if I had just asked. Thanks. Oo.
