??? About air filter

I just traded my '03 for an '05 and noticed my filter gage gets pulled down to about 1/2 after every trip. Is this normal for the '05's?? I never even got close to pulling any differntial across the filter in my '03. I haven't pulled anything yet. The truck only has 1,500 miles on it. It runs great and I have been getting about 17 mpg. That's a little worse than the '03 but overall, I'm happy with it.



I'm sure this has been discussed here before but I haven't been keeping up on the '05's.

Filter Minder pull-down

I have had the AFE drop-in installed for quite a while now. The "Filter-Minder" still pulled down about a quarter of the way after I first installed it. I finally used a 1 inch hole saw a put about 16 or so holes in the bottom of the air box, which stopped the "Filter-Minder" pull down completely. I just recently added the "Cool Blue Hose" which replaces the rubber elbows and plastic silencer tube between the air box and the turbo, as well as removing the silencer ring on the turbo. It's pretty loud now and I have even thought about reinstalling the silencer ring back in the turbo. Some folks like it loud but it may be annoying if you tow alot. I have since reinstalled the silencer ring and like the lower noise level, (just my personal preference). Hope this helps
